Be Careful

It is important to allow our children to participate in dangerous and challenging games, because it is a very good way for them to practice their problem-solving skills. Every time we say “be careful” we clearly express our lack of faith in the judgement of our children which often becomes the foundation of self-confidence. 

Instead you can say:

What is your plan... ?

What can you use...? Where will you...?

How are going to…. go up, go down, climb?

Who ... will be with you, will help you if...?

It's always better to be a part of their exploring game!
