AGE GROUP: 12-13 years
Is there a magic shortcut to boosting your pupils’ vocabulary and thinking skills in a fun way without having to spend tons of hours finding the right tasks? The SUPER VOCABULARY BUILDER series guarantees there is one!
This is the fourth digital resource of the series and it is ideal for children aged 12-13 years.
Built around a set of colorful, easy-to-use and definitely brain-boosting picture cards it provides your students with fun and meaningful vocabulary practice while strengthening their critical thinking skills.
Each card features a full-colour picture of the targeted lexical item followed by a brief definition and 4 practice questions that promote a thorough understanding of the new word by prompting students to: (a) provide a definition of the target word, (b) build a sentence with the target word, (c) use their word meaning knowledge to decide whether a sample sentence is correct or not as well as (d) apply critical thinking to work on a set of challenging lexical items that are conceptually, morphologically or phonologically related and spot the word that doesn’t fit with the others. Thus, students are exposed to the target words multiple times, in a way that doesn’t just strengthen their vocabulary skills but also triggers their critical thinking.
The pack includes 60 printable double-sided picture cards and 3 suggestions for activities with the use of 2 special dices. What is more, it includes a part that is specially designed for tablets so that the cards can also be used autonomously.
- 60 printable double-sided picture cards,
- 240 practice questions,
- 3 different interactive games,
- a printable box to store the cards,
- printable dice templates for the games,
- a part that is specially designed for tablets.
A brilliant tool to bring vocabulary building and critical thinking to the heart of your sessions and challenge your students beyond memorization!
