 -  provide some key information about the item depicted on the card
 -  briefly describe the item on the card
 -  make comparisons
 -  put words in categories
 -  come up with words that are closely related
 -  make logical inferences

Boost your learners’ expressive language skills and help them master this all-important area of language development.  Expressive language is significant as it enables them to describe their needs and desires, express their thoughts and ideas, support their views with clear arguments, develop the ability to express themselves in writing and eventually interact effectively with other people.

The title seems appropriate to the resource.

I have found this a useful addition both as an iPad and printed tool. I like using it as a PACE/barrier task and adjust the questions accordingly. The different formats are helpful to allow different patterns of use.

Expressive Language: Getting it Right

Hi Upbility Team, just wanted to let you that the picture cards Getting it Right are a great way to get my students to discuss orally about the pictures. Most of my students struggle with motor skills i.e.: handwriting, we have found discussion to be very beneficial because students are able to express themselves verbally. The questions given also helps with prompting and this helps students to give their answers without feeling their answer may be wrong. As always I have found your resources very valuable. Good resource. Disappointed that I can't save it into my own resource file though. Can only download it (over and over - up to 100 times) but I don't really 'own' it .. its more like a rental system.
