ONLINE COURSE | Functional Behavior Analysis: Assessment & Intervention Plan

The course Functional Behavior Analysis: Assessment & Intervention Plan is a comprehensive two-hour training led by Tara Warwick, an occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience supporting children with developmental challenges and behavioral difficulties.

The training is structured around three main pillars:

1. Building Relationships & Supportive Environments
   Focuses on the importance of empathy, collaboration with families and schools, and creating a safe environment that helps prevent difficult behaviors.
2. Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) in 4 Steps
   Guidance on data collection (interviews, observations, ABC data), analysis of behavioral motives, and deriving conclusions through real case studies.
3. Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)
   Training on how to design individualized plans that teach replacement skills, reinforce positive behaviors, and reduce challenging ones—using tools such as visual schedules, reinforcement strategies, and transition techniques.

The course emphasizes that behavior is a form of communication and that early intervention can prevent future difficulties. Participants gain tools, templates, and strategies to immediately apply in practice—whether they are teachers, therapists, or parents.
